To be successful in any field, you need to know and apply the Four Corner Stones, without them any enterprise will crash and fail. This is not a maybe it is an inevitable fact – not an ‘if’ but a ‘when’. All it takes is time but without using the Four Corner Stones For Success, you will fail. Be very clear on that factor.
So what are the Four Corner Stones?
1 VISION
You need a clear, concise vision of what YOU want. The first essential attribute of true Leadership is Vision! Be aware though that your Vision MUST be clear. Flawed visions based on ignorance, greed, laziness, fear of loss or gullibility will cause you to go wrong as you will do the wrong things for the wrong reasons. Your Vision should be an accurate perspective of what YOU wish to achieve in a future which as yet doesn’t exist. The majority of people base their Vision on other people’s realities, not their own.
2 TIME
We’ve all seen them, the do nothing make a squillion emails and ads, just remember ‘if it looks to good to be true’ then it usually is. Don’t be taken in by these promises you need to be prepared to put in the time yourself. Sure, you can leverage, out-source etc. but especially in the initial stages, you need to actually be prepared to put in your time, your effort. Later, as success comes, you can use the power of leverage more and more but in the initial stages YOU need to work. You need to make the time to build your business. It’s your business your investing in and frankly, if you are not prepared to put in the time, then you cannot expect to succeed. Yes, leverage does work but it is a consequence – and effect or result of success – it does not cause success. Do not get confused about this, be very clear on this factor.
3 EFFORT
Yep, another dirty word to a lot of people seduced by the ‘do nothing make a squillion’ brigade. If you truly want to succeed, then you must put in the effort. Yes, again you will be able to leverage but as with time – that is the consequence, the effect or result of success – not the cause of success.
4 DISCIPLINE
Again, yet another dirty word to a lot of people but unless you have self-discipline you will never succeed. You will never bother to put into practice your vision, your time or effort, all needed to guarantee the success of your venture. This is why a clear, compelling vision is imperative. It will motivate you, without it to guide you will never have the self-discipline necessary to achieve your goals. It’s simple common sense logic which should be obvious to everyone. Unfortunately it isn’t and that is why so many people waste their time and effort in the undisciplined quest for the ‘fast buck’, trying to avoid the necessity of investing any time, effort or discipline.
Until you totally and completely understand these Four Corner Stones For Success, you will be unable to recognize or utilize The Law of Success.
